Haleyville Public Library

The Haleyville Public Library’s mission is to provide residents of Haleyville and outlying areas with effective library services for their educational, informational, and recreational use. The 3,025 square feet library facility, located on 20th Street, is funded by the City of Haleyville. The library is also a member of the Carl Elliott Regional Library System. The City of Haleyville and the Carl Elliott Regional Library System provide funding for library books, supplies and other materials.

The Haleyville Public Library serves a population of 5,000+, which includes the City of Haleyville, outlying rural areas, and surrounding communities of Delmar, Lynn, and Bear Creek. The library collection includes over 9,700 volumes, 49 periodical subscriptions, 3 newspaper subscriptions, and 274 audio-visual materials. The library has an annual book circulation of 11,000+. Additionally, the library has a local history and genealogical department housed in the Alabama Room.  Other services include access to the Alabama Virtual Library, reference service, and various programming for patrons from preschool to teens to adults with attendance at programming often numbering over 100.

Haleyville Farmers Market

If you are visiting Haleyville during the summer months, the Haleyville Farmers Market is the place to go for fresh fruit and vegetables grown by area producers. The market sponsored by the City of Haleyville, Winston County Extension and the Winston County Commission. Located at Rocky Ravine Park, they are open from June until October form 6:00 AM – Noon, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday.

National Guard Armory

New $17 million ultra- modern National Guard Armory facility located adjacent Haleyville Airport with a 5,010 ft runway.
